Friday, October 23rd, 2015 to Wednesday, October 28th – Catchacoma Lake in Canada to Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas
It is a long way down, but we made it! After multiple days of travel we are safe and sound at New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. Sunny and 80 degree F… you gotta love it!!

We made it! Happy to be on the ferry from Treasure Cay to the town of New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay

Unfortunately, Randy has been sick with a bad cold for about a week so it has been a tough trip, but he’s been a really trooper. We are getting pretty good at getting things back ship-shape so, thankfully, it only takes us two days now to get the boat ready. Silver Maple launched without issue on Wednesday. It is good to be back on the water and the feeling of freedom that seems to come with that.
We are now settled and docked at the Green Turtle Club. Pretty quiet here. The resort opens for the season today so there are not very many people around. Silver Maple is the only boat. Our plan is to head out tomorrow (Friday) and start the journey towards West End, near Freeport. That will be our launching point for our Gulf Stream crossing back to Florida. Our three year cruising permit for the Bahamas runs out mid-November, so we have to leave the country. Right now the weather is looking good to do that ocean passage on Monday. Woohoo!

So happy for you that you are back down there! It looks heavenly. Best wishes to Randy for a speedy recovery. You will have to sail to Groton Long Point one of these years! xoxo

Beautiful pictures of your Bahama reunion with Silver Maple. Sorry to hear Randy was sick, but he certainly looks like he recovered well with that Bahama sun an spirits. Sounds like a peaceful time to be there.
Where will you re-enter US? We’ll be in Ft Pierce within the week. Can’t wait to see you, that’s affirmative for we will catch you this year!🐬💜

It seems that I am the bearer of sad news this week.
I made a call this morning to Sharon and Fara answered. She informed me that her mother had died in January.
She was going to contact me she said but was busy arranging what she was going to do with Don. God help the poor man. How does a normal person deal with this kind of behaviour..hmmm. Much Love, Mom
